Are you one of the 100′s of users out there are still using Internet Explorer and to afraid to move on? For such a long time people have been stuck using IE (Internet Explorer) without realising that there are much.. much better browsers out there, that’s also free to use, faster, more secure and with allot more features than the standard IE.
The time of a phone being just a phone has long past and with devices out there like Apple’s Iphone or the Blackberry, you can now do almost everything on the move! With 100′s of thousands of apps out there, we thought that we’d compile a list of 10 very useful apps for small business!
1. 2Do
A user-friendly task management and ‘to do’ list app that does exactly what it says on the tin. The user-interface is clean an intuitive and the latest version now supports synchronisation with Outlook, Mac, and Toodledo. The Biggest feature of this app is push notifications. Many to-do managers in the app store are missing this feature that is top of the shopping list for many shoppers of the App store. When making a new to-do, or editing an old one, there is the option of assigning alarms for when the item is due and/or before it’s due. These alarms come in the form of push notifications and/or email, giving you no excuse to forget your partner’s birthday!
Google has, and continues, to take a proactive approach toward spam. According to a post on Google’s official blog on Friday by Matt Cutts, Google’s search quality is presently “better than it has ever been in terms of relevance, freshness and comprehensiveness.”
Cutts also reminded users of the following principles which apply to Google search results: Google takes action against sites that violate its quality guidelines, regardless of whether they have ads powered by Google, displaying Google ads does not help a site’s rankings in Google, and buying Google ads does not increase a site’s rankings in Google’s search results.
Cutts also addressed the more recent problem of content farms, which consist mostly of what he described as “spammy or low-quality content,” assuring users that Google is as committed to the war on spam as ever.
It’s a new year and time for a new website! We’ve been hard at work and have completely changed the look of the site. Any feedback would be appreciated!
